Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L.) is an original Indonesian fruit and found over the archipelago which trees height grows up to 7 to 25 meters. The fruit known as the "queen of tropical fruit" in the world trade has the main harvesting season from September to April. Mangosteen is also known as a fruit that has the highest levels of antioxidants in the world. Based on data from Statistics Indonesia, the national mangosteen production in 2020 was 322,414 tons, an increase of 30.81% compared to the previous year. Mangosteen contains bioactive compounds such as xanthones, terpenes, anthocyanins, tannins, phenols, and several vitamins.
